A typical day at NIS begins at 8:45 and ends at 3:15. Students bring their own lunches and teachers eat with their class before dismissing them to play. Children have ample recess breaks to rest and play in the exceptional playgrounds in the kindergarten and primary school.
The school year is filled with many colourful events, celebrations and traditions. A children’s Chapel takes place once a week and after-school-activities run through the week and school year. The seasons bring many festive school activities and celebrations, most unique is our celebration of Norwegian National Day on May 17. Whether it’s a hot lunch, a school potluck dinner, a sports or science competition, camp, or beach day there is always something exciting happening.
